THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY

I am currently reading the book The Mysterious Benedict Society, by Trenton Lee Stewart. It is about four kids who have, so far, taken some tests to get into this school with new opportunities and challenges. The main character, Reynie Muldoon comes from an orphanage and takes these tests. He passes, and along the way meets three other people who also have passed the tests. Their names are Kate, Sticky, and Constance. Sticky is known for remembering everything, and Kate is know for using her bucket and tools in clever ways that she always carries around. Constance, who really isn't all that bright, has a lot of humor and is rather disrespectful towards other people and seems to only care about herself. She passes the tests too, for reasons that are unknown at this point. Mr. Benedict, who is in charge of this society, says "There are tests, and then there are tests", in response to one of the children's questions about why Constance passed. The whole environment isn't quite right; it isn't normal. You can tell that they are not just looking for smart and clever people for their society. So far it's a pretty good book. I've heard from other people it's a good read, so I hope it lives up to what I have heard.
