I am about half way through this book and I am really enjoying it! The main character's name is Stephen Quinn he was born after a major war which we don't know much about besides that it destroyed basically the whole world. It is hard to tell where the setting is taking place in the book, but they give a lot of sensory details about their surroundings and the planet they are on. I think that they might be on a different planet but that is very similar to Earth.
The book starts off very brutal, with his grandfather dying of illness and his father falling in a deep coma. Stephen has no choice but to leave his father by himself and going off into the forest to find food. This has been a good book so far and I would recommend it!
