The author of My Temporary Life wrote the story in an interesting way. He didn't write as a continuous plot, instead it skips forward. He doesn't describe things in too much length, but instead he gives a little information that I really don't think is enough. I'm almost done with the book, and I still don't know what colour hair Malcolm has!

My Temporary Life
My Temporary Life is a great book. It's starts out by following a young, 14 year old boy named Malcolm in Scotland. It is based in the 1960's and although there is lots of crude language, it is still an amazing book! Malcolm is not very popular, and is only friend is Gerald, nicknamed Hardly. Hardly is beaten by his single father, and Malcolm and his father help to stop the abuse. Malcolm gets expelled, and moves to Canada to live with his mother. His mother is not a good role model in my opinion, because every summer she has a different man. I think that she rubs off on her son in a very bad way, because she never treats anyone the way a human deserves to be treated.
