The Secret Language of Girls

This book is about 2 11 year old girls who stop being friends. One of the main characters is Kate, who thinks her friend, Marylin, is outgrowing her. Marylin feels that Kate acts too babyish, so she stops hanging out with her. Kate loves to play basket ball, and does a lot of sports. Marylin loves makeup, hair and shopping. However, Kate gets a boyfriend first. Marlin is really jealous, which tears their relationship apart even further. They get torn apart when Marylin hangs out with Flannery, a really cool 7th grader. Flannery and Marylin ignore Kate, and Marylin goes along with it because she can't say no. This book was really good, but it was frustrating when you didn't know why they're ignoring Kate. You feel sorry for her because she sits alone on the bus trying to talk to her. Marylin can't sort it out, because she starts hanging out with the cheerleaders. This was really good!
