Bergdorf Blondes

I just started to read Bergdorf Blondes, it's a novel about a group of girls who live in New York City. These girls are "perfect". They all have bright blonde hair which is died of course a couple of times a month. They have all of the latest fashions and designer clothes. These girls are at the top of the chain, everyone wants to be like them. The main character Moi, wants all of the new fashions and tries very hard to pick the right outfits each and every day. Moi suddenly wants to be engaged very very badly because girls that are engaged seem to be very sophisticated and superior. She then goes on a search for a potential husband. She finds a man, Zach Nicholson, who is a photographer. Zach starts to ignore her and she gets very frusturated with life because she thinks that this isn't how things should work. Zach then tells her that they should not end up getting married. Moi gets very upset and attemtps to commit suicide by Advil overdose which did not end up working. This book is a well written book, which you want to keep reading to see what happens to this "marvelous" group of girls next.
