This quarter I am finishing up the book Catching Fire, and continuing to read the third book Mocking jay. This book was a brilliant sequel to the first book the Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta's, relationship was further developed throughout the book. There "fake" love life, quickly turned into a real symbol of love. The conflict (mostly the same as the first book) is their district has an annual hunger games in which they must fight until the death. This conflict is one of the most interesting ones I have ever read. It always changes and continues to make the audience hungry to read more. The book Catching Fire also has a juicy twist at the end that makes the reader want to continue and finish the series. The third and final book in the series is called Mocking jay. I haven’t gotten very far in this book but I am curious to see how the series plays out and concludes. Overall I think Suzanne Collins is a very talented and gifted author, who is able to write three marvelous books and complete a wonderful series.
i read the hunger games and started catching fire but it seemed sort of boring. i think i'll give it another try, everyone who's read it seemed to like it. thanks for not giving the book away at all, in fact you made me want to read it more because it has a "juicy twist" at the end. all i've heard a bout the last two books is that she starts a war. they are coming out with a movie, i'm not so sure about a movie for this one.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I have read the Hunger Games series and Suzanne Collins does have a very good way of making the reader want to keep reading. When I first started Catching fire I thought it was going to be to much like the first book, but it wasn't. She was able to take the same consept and story line but make whole new events happen.
