The Lying Game
The Lying Game is written by Sara Shepard. Shepard makes her readers keep reading because of the mysterious undertone of the book and how she drops clues at the end of each chapter. Basically this book is about two twin sisters (Emma and Sutton) and the day they are supposed to meet, one of them disappears. This leaves Emma with the mystery of Sutton's disappearance and the misunderstanding of Emma being Sutton. The hard things Emma has to go through are very difficult on her. What if you were about to meet your long-lost twin and they just disappear? I know that I would be very disappointed and concerned! I am only half way through the book, but so far there are many repeating themes. First, they both have a special locket and I have an idea that this could be an important part of the book, especially since Shepard describes Sutton being murdered with her locket. Every chapter leaves you wanting to read more, since interesting clues are given at the end of them. Emma is put into a very hard situation since she is always in danger of meeting Sutton's murderer. I have many questions while reading the book like, is Emma every going to find who is sending her the mysterious letters and clues of what happened to Sutton? Will anyone ever find out that Emma isn't Sutton, but her twin sister? (Nobody believes her when she tells them she isn't actually Sutton). I really recommend this book to people since it is interesting, it makes you keep reading, and it is a little bit scary at some parts.

The plot of this book sounds really interesting, Anneliese. The title is also a great hook! What is the author's writing style like? Is it an action packed book or on the slower side? Whose point of view is it told from? If I were Shepard I would write the book from both Emma and Sutton's point of view so the reader would know what is running through both of the twins minds while they are separated. I'm curious to know how she choose to write it. Thanks for sharing!
