Delirium
I really liked the book Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It is set in the future when love has been labeled a disease. There is almost no contact between boys and girls under eighteen and instead of dating they are evaluated and then paired with someone that they will marry. When they turn eighteen they are immediatley cured, a procedure that removes their ability to love. However the procedure doesn't always work and some people become infected with love. The main character's- Lena whole family has been infected with love. The cure didn't work on her mother, her sister became infected with love before her cure, and her father was labeled a sympathizer with love. Well because of all these things she wants her cure very badly and is afraid of love in the beginning throughout the book she begins to fall in love as well. The plot moves very quickly in this book and I really wanted to keep reading because it was very interesting. The character developement was also really good with alot of the characters really becoming different people by the end of the book because of these huge things that are happening to them. You can also really relate to them because their emotions are so real and so well described for the situation.
