I really enjoy how the author brings together so many different types of people, all fighting for the same cause, or against it, and how she is realistic with them not always getting along amongst themselves. The character of Madison is a prime example. She doesn't really want to help the kids protect the town but she also loves Seph, but is eventually brought into the mix when her younger siblings are taken captives. All in all, I would highly recomend this series to any of you.

Dragon Heir
I recently read the book Dragon Heir, the final book in the Heir trilogy. This book follows the point of view of multiple characters. It revolves around the small town of Trinity, Ohio, where the magical guilds have made their sanctuary. Three groups of wizards want to destroy the town of Trinity because it was made a refuge for the other guilds and a stone of great power, the Dragonheart, was stolen and hidden there. Under the command of Seph McCauley, Jack Swift, and Ellen Stephson, the town has to survive the barrage of attacks. Madison Moss, who is not a part of any guild, comes to play a pivotal role in the events of the story.
