I recently read the Hunger Pains by the Harvard Lampoon. This book has an weird twist on the Hunger Games. It is about the same besides the fact that Katniss's name is really Kantkiss. And that district 12 is really in Cleavland. I thought that the book was funny but also mean. I thought that the book was mean because I really like the hunger games, it's one of my favorite books. The ending is also different in the hunger pains. It turns out that Kantkiss actually falls in love with somebody else, not Pita. I would recommend this book to my peers because it is funny and if you have read the Hunger Games it has a funny twist to it.
This looks really good! I sort of want to read it, but I love the Hunger Games too, so I could be offended by it...
ReplyDeleteIn what ways would you say this book differs from Hunger Games? I also really enjoyed the Hunger Games and I wonder if Harvard Lampoon could get in trouble for copyright! In all I think it would be a fun read to see what happens.
