Outliers

Lately, for independent reading I have been reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. In my opinion it is one of the best books I have ever read. At fist, I didn’t think that I would like it, but after reading it I was really impressed. Outliers, is a book about success. It talks about people who have obtained success, people who aspire to be successful and what causes success. The book talks about people from Bill Gates to the Beatles, how they became successful and what they had to do to get where they are now (or were). The book explores advantages that cause people to become star athletes, how all the top lawyers in New York are similar, and how your place of birth determines if you can be a successful pilot. One of the parts of the book I found most interesting was about how the month of your birth can affect if you become an athletic standout. Overall, I would say that Outliers was one of the best books I have ever read. I would definitely recommend you read it you will not be disappointed.

  1. I just started reading this book for quarter 2. It has been a interesting book. My favorite part of the book is when they talk about the hockey team that has a very unusual talent on there team. There birth dates all are in January, February, March, and April. This is pretty cool because my birthday is April 3 and so are all my really good friends that are good at hockey. This book is really cool.
