The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
I have currently started reading The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice in this book a boy named Lestat hears that wolves are terrorizing their town, he heads into the forest to attack. Soon, he realizes that there are 5 wolves, he attacks them and is left unscathed, except his mare is killed. He returns to his home with the carcuses and is named town hero. He meets a friend named Charles and together they talk, drink, sing, dance, and play the violin. Lestat's mother confides in him that she is dying, she then tells him she can not die in peace unless he is in Paris with Charles in a play, doing what he loves most, acting. He leaves and writes to his mother daily, he finds out his father disenherited him. Lately, when he is on stage he senses someone watching him, his name is Magnus and he is a vampire, one night he ambushes Lestat and makes him a vampire. When Lestat awakes new life courses through him. His master asks him to burn him and scatter the ashes so he can't come back as a hideous, monstrous creature. Lestat does as he is told, but he then realizes he has no idea what to do, he roams in search for someone to be his master. He finds another vampire named, Mario, he is ambushed, Lestat feeds on him but can't understand why he won't die. Then he learns the truth, this man is a vampire. Mario tells him the he will be his new master.
