The Art of Racing in The Rain
I am currently The Art of Racing in the Rain written by Garth Stein. The book is about a dog named Enzo and his owner Danny. I really like how he wrote the book because it starts at the end and is narrated by Enzo. I really like that it is narrated by Enzo because it show how much a dog really cares about his owner. Enzo is a old dog and is thinking about a plan to lead Danny to put him down. He is doing this because he doesn't want Danny to have to watch Enzo suffer and want to let Danny have a cleared mind by not having to worry about Enzo all the time. I also like the way he planned out the book because it doesn't take a long time to explain the characters. This makes me want to keep reading the book because it makes me want to know the back story to the characters and how everything led up to the way it did.

That book sounds really good and really sad. It's an interesting way of showing that this author believes that animals want to be put down to ease their suffering. Maybe if someone was trying to decide wheteher or not to put their dog down this book would help them make the best decision for their dog.
ReplyDeleteThat seems like a really interesting book with a good plot! I really like the name Enzo, so that is something that I was drawn towards. I might read the book if I have a chance. I am interested to hear more about the book!
ReplyDeleteII've read this book too and I cried! It's one of my favorites and you had a great summary. I would recommend My Life In Dog Years by Gary Paulson because it's also about the relationship between humans and dogs.
