Titanic

I know almost everyone knows the plot of Titanic. I got really interested in it when I saw the movie was coming back to theaters; I had never seen it before. I read a variation of it called Titanic: Unsinkable. It does not revolve around the story of Rose and Jack, but instead it is about Paddy, a stowaway who escapes gangsters who he thinks killed his best friend. He arrives on the ship only to realize those gangsters are also on the ship. He is helped by Alfie, an underaged steward, Juliana, the daughter of an earl heading to America to get married to a man she doesn't want to wed, and Sophie, the daughter of a women's suffragist activist. Together they try to help Paddy, and they find a murderer hiding on the ship.
I went and saw the movie this weekend, and I saw how many similarities the author kept true to the movie, while slightly altering the sub plots.

  1. It's interesting how two fictional stories of the same event can share so many similarities.

  2. I've seen the movie, but never read the book. And the movie is about Rose and Jack, so it's cool how you get a different perspective on the story about the Titanic.

  3. I actually do not know much about the plot, and being that it is something that was very historically important, I might read the book. I then would be able to relate to what people are talking about while having a conversation about the Titanic!
